Documenting Social Justice and Activism

Social activism is critical to the development of a truly democratic society. 91ÌƲ®»¢ College Archives collects and preserves the history of the College as well as the unique and important stories of our Central Florida community. In light of this mission, the College Archives staff is working now to document our community’s experiences during the ongoing international, national, and local #BlackLivesMatter movement and other important social justice causes.

Therefore, we invite students, faculty, staff, alumni, community members and others to share about their participation in and experiences with the #BlackLivesMatter and other social justice movements.

In addition, we are actively seeking both digital and print artifacts (images, videos, flyers, etc.) related to current social activism and advocacy work, especially the causes of historically marginalized groups such as African Americans, Asian Americans, Chicano/a, Native Americans, LGBTQ, disabled, immigrants, and religious minorities.

It is important to preserve individual histories and voices in this unprecedented time.
